STUCK IN A RUT???

The Dip: A Little Book That Teaches You When to Quit (and When to Stick)
by Seth Godin.
The DIP concept has been taught by several churches.
Frodo heard this via podcasts.
He had the men open up to JEREMIAH 29:11 - from here the men began
to unpack and unfold how they have fallen in the DIP.
The takehome was this --each man needs to examine where he's at and make the adjustments necessary to get to where GOD wants him to be.
The problem with most of us, is we're not QUITE SURE we know where GOD WANTS US.
THIS was frodo's third consecutive night to lead thetribe in theSHACK. (just in case you are not familiar with thetribe or even theSHACK- allow me to put some skin on this...
thetribe - defined as - the name we ordinary bunch of guys call ourselves
theSHACK - defined as - the name for the room we meet in on mondays at 7pm.
the Dip is the point where just as we were on track to the place that GOD wanted us to be, we lost sight of GOD and His promise. Now we find we're stuck in a rut, with no sight of GOD. we face our own crisis of belief. we wonder if GOD is still there.

  1. i missed last night's pm Xperience.
however i spoke to frodo about the discussion that took place.
i wonder how many men live in the dip?
how many lost their identity in the dip?
    sold out in the dip?

as for me, i must be like habbukuk and wrestle till i hear from the GREAT GOD.
my own dip revolves around wondering if i am off the reservation.
but my GOD IS A GOD WHO SAVES. AND HE WILL RESCUE ME.
HE CHASES ME BECAUSE I RUN FROM HIM.
each day i have to remind myself to re focus.
unfortunately for me, i don't have an AUTO FOCUS.

  2. i bought the audiobook version of SETH GODIN'S the Dip.
it is not a spiritual book, however the application is remarkably easy to tie to spiritual issues.

it makes a huge statement, sometimes it's better to quit.
    strange, huh?
somethings we invest in, projects we begin, if not our sole focus, if just one more event we participate in, well then we are not able to APPLY OUR BEST.
most often, we spread ourself too thin. run out of gas, unwilling to quit, giving poor quality.

its out there, but i like it.
